Gameplay
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 will introduce a new Create-a-Superstar Mode, including a fresh look, all-new 3D parts and improved graphical quality, allowing players to create Superstars and Divas who are comparable in quality with their in-game WWE counterparts. Adding to the creative mix, a new Paint Tool will enable detailed creation of tattoos, logos and other unique designs, while a franchise-first Superstar Threads feature will let players create alternate ring gear for Superstars and Divas by customizing the colors of shirts, pants, face paint, elbow pads, boots and more. The game's Create-a-Finisher Mode will now let players create acrobatic and gravity-defying diving attacks from the top turnbuckle, as well as move their creations to new heights by adjusting the trajectory. In addition, players will be able to tag their creations with search terms, as well as leave ratings, allowing for ease of use in searching the robust database for the most popular - or even the most obscure - created items.

Not Yet Played but here are the Specs...
Okay So i have not played it yet and will update this when I do, but I think this game needs at least 1 review, don't you? Smack down Vs. Raw 2010 comes to us days before Bragging rights and that sure seems ominous for a great game. But since I have yet to play it here is what I can tell you. You can play 1-6 players at home or 1-4 players online. Game controls haven't changed that much, except for reversals. You can now do it much easier and like for the Wii where the B button reverses everything if timed right, you can now hit R2 with the same results. There is a new Kick-out meter...You can either button mash your way to a kick out, or simply hold a button in until it gets the gauge full. YOu can also do a Road to Wrestlemania with your created superstar. I would like to add here that you can make your created superstar better not just through career mode but also through RTW and even exhibition matches. I will say more on the Create-a-Superstar later...

The Royal Rumble now has 3 points of elimination, making a more realistic experience than in previous SVR. Also added this year is the Championship Scramble, need I saw more.

In My WWE you can create/edit teams. You can also create rivals, not sure what that does yet it sounds awesome.

You can also create your own stories now! You select the event around which your story starts. You create the scenes by adjusting the length, text, emotion, Titan Tron, music, camera Angle and the end of the show logo. You can pick from a library of Animations to bolster your story. You can pick any location available on the game at any time, and the entire cast is available to you. In this mode you can create the matches at well. Picking the Match type, superstars, Match options, Match condition.

Now onto create-a-superstar you can create anything you want. If you don't exceed the new 48 point bar system. I Dont know how i feel about that, but we will see. YOU can now create your own tags and paint just about anything.

Also now you can Create not only a front attack finisher but also a high flying End move.

I love creating superstars so this game really seems like my dream game. One of the things that always got on my nerves was the trinatron video that did not match my character. Now you can create a video based on your highlights and have that as your entrance video, very cool.

Overall i am nothing but excited about this game, Looks to be the best SVR game out there. Now for those who didn't like any of the other please leave your responses to your mommy, she will make it all better. Thank you!

Shoot and Loot
So I got my copy of Borderlands last night and played up to level 11. Here are my impressions one day in.

-The game is beautiful. I personally love the cartoony style of the graphics. Extremely detailed and even the barren wasteland is nice to look at. The characters while not customizable are all highly detailed as well and look great. You can change the name and colors, that's about it.

-Controls are excellent. Feels like COD4 with a few changes. Any FPS player can pick it up and play very easily. The one vehicle I've seen so far controls exactly like a warthog from halo.

-Guns, guns, guns. Only a few hours in and I've seen so many kinds of guns I can't count them. One of the best parts of the game is that you'll never know what will drop out of the next enemy. Could be that acid rocket shotgun you've been waiting for! The pure crazines of the weapons is awesome.

-Story. What story? Your looking for a vault full of alien technology. That's it so far. If your looking for deep story, this is not the game for you. Try Fallout 3. On that note, this game is nothing like Fallout. Other than the fact that both games are set in a wasteland like place in the future there is no comparison. It's more like COD4/Halo meets Diablo/Baldurs Gate.

-Co-op. Tried the co-op last night and it was the best online experiance I've ever had. I sent my friend an invite and he joined my game with his levleed up character. No lobby, no re-loading, he just appeared in my game, we played for a few hours and when he left I was back to single player. All seamless. Amazing. Can't wait to try it with four players.

-In the couple of hours I played it I was glued to the XBOX360. If I didn't have to work today I would have played all night. Now that's a sign of a good game. Well spent 60.00. I'm sure I'll more than get my monies worth on this one for a long time to come. With four characters that you'll not likely max out on the first play through this game has some legs to stand on. Enjoy.

THE rpg of the year
Some may be turned off b/c of the game's cliched story of love and war, with an amneasic character who sets out for revenge, but i love the story. The graphics are amazing, in par with the best looking next gen games to date. The battle system is also very fun and complex, without being difficult to learn. I think all RPG fans should play this game. It is a masterpiece!

Do Not Believe The Reviews!

I can not belive IGN gave 6.8 for this... unbelievable! Generally, I agree w/ their review. Now let me tell you why you MUST buy this!

#1 This is the best JRPG on XBox360!
There are no competition! Some enjoy open RPG like FallOut 3 and such but I like JRPG better. Why? I think the characters are more charasmatic and story is more entertaining. Plus, there's only handful of JRPG in the market today..and they all gave BAD reviews! Some are really bad game but NOT THIS ONE!!!

#2 IGN says..it's the most blendest JRPG you'll see
I think I can say the same thing to all FPS games but would I give them low score? No! it's because they are fun! Same idea here! This game is really fun!

#3 Graphics
Top notch!! So much better than all Square-Enix game for 360!

#4 Music
I'd say music is 4/5. It's great but I wouldn't say awesome!

#5 Gameplay
This is where this game shines!!! This is real time battle, meaning no random battles! Also, the battle system is complex enough to NOT keep you bored!

#6 Character Voice
They've done A+ job. It's translated perfectly w/ the right voice!

#7 Story
Yes, the story is cliche~ we've seen it before but how many times did we play to a story called "SAVE THE WORLD"! Look at the music industry as well, all songs are either Love or Sex related since forever!

Anyways, don't believe the review! This is a great game! If you guys don't support JRPG will slowly die....

Fantastic Addition to the Kingdom Hearts Series
First of all, let me start by saying that this is my favorite game in the Kingdom Hearts saga. It was definitely worth the wait. Being a hard core KH fan myself, I made sure to by the game the day it came out and I wasn't disappointed. I played everyday after school, unable to put the game down for longer than I had to.

Length: I completed the game in 30 hours on Standard Mode, which is a pretty average completion time for a Square title game. And as Square does with most of their games, they made sure to leave plenty of extras after the game is over to tackle if you want more. I'm currently working on unlocking the Hidden Reports.

Graphics/Sound: I have to say I'm impressed. While the majority of the game's story is spent reading (which is to be expected from a DS game), the high graphic cutscenes are absolutely stunning, easily matching those of a PS2 game. No small achievement for a DS game. The lower quality cutscenes are a bit pixely, but aren't all DS games? As far as sound goes, this will make for another unforgettable soundtrack by Square. Also the voice acting is wonderful. My only disappointment was that it was limited to the high quality cutscenes and simple `hahas', `hmms' and other similar sounds before text.

Gameplay: A tiny step down from KH II, it was still fun and the KH style carried surprisingly well over to the DS. I'll admit I was a bit worried that, being on another hand-held system, it might end up being a bit too much like KH CoM, which, while fun, I didn't care for the Card System. But my concern quickly faded as I got past the initial tutorial in the game.

The idea of the panel system looked a bit confusing at first, but I quickly caught on. Similar to KH II, it allows you to make shortcuts during battle to different spells and items. I've heard some complaint over the fact that you only get limited slots, but personally, I think it adds a nice challenge to the game, and it's not like the slot setup you choose is permanent; you get the opportunity to rearrange your slots before every mission.

Which brings me to the Missions. This is perfectly believable for the story the game follows. While some missions are a bit repetitive, you usually have the option to skip over them and take on the missions that are different. I'd say about 60% of missions are optional. Also, I'm sure veteran KH fans will enjoy embarking on missions with their favorite Organization XIII members. The only missions I really didn't care for were recon missions, which consisted of working your way through each world and clicking on different locations to gather info on the area.

Mission Mode: This allows you to replay previous missions that you've played in the game using any character you'd like. You start off having only the members of Organization XIII to choose as your player, but you can unlock more as you get farther into the game's story.

Story: This is the reason Days is my favorite KH game. Yes, even though the game comes with a booklet that explains what happened in previous games, and the majority of the game requires no previous KH knowledge, I think new KH players might be a bit lost. But then, it is a sequel. I'm sure anyone who jumped into the middle of the Harry Potter series would be confused as well. I, however, having played all the other KH games, followed the story easily.

There are plenty of moments where I found myself laughing out loud, but there were more moments where I found myself fighting back tears. Days is, in my opinion, the most heart wrenching addition in the KH series. Also, being a fan of Organization XIII, I had endless delight at seeing my favorite characters going about their daily routines. The story takes place shortly before, during, and after the events of Chain of Memories.

So, to quickly summarize, I'm sure previous KH fans will enjoy this newest installment to the KH story, and new KH players - though they may get a bit lost at times - will enjoy the game as well. I highly recommend this delightful game.

If you can defeat his brutal traps and survive, you may just discover the truth behind what drives this twisted serial killer. SAW is a third-person perspective, survival horror game based on the SAW film franchise, which has grossed more than $665M worldwide and sold more than 28 million DVDs. The game features many of the deadly mechanical traps seen in the film, as well as terrifying new ones. Players will pit their wits against Jigsaw as they navigate his world in an attempt to evade and escape his gruesome traps, while also struggling against his minions in brutal combat by using weapons found within the environment. SAW, the video game, is based on a treatment from Zombie Studios and the creators of the SAW franchise, Leigh Whannell and James Wan. The timeline for the game takes place between the movies: SAW and SAW II, giving the game its own story, yet fitting within the narratives of the movies. The story centers on Detective David Tapp who awakens in a decrepit, abandoned asylum. He has been captured by his longtime nemesis, Jigsaw. Obsessed with catching this serial killer, Tapp’s mission has consumed him and ruined his family, resulting in divorce, mental imbalance, and abandonment. Worse yet, this frantic hunt destroyed Tapp’s career while he watched his long-time friend and partner get killed by one of Jigsaw’s traps. Now Jigsaw has the upper hand and has captured the detective. Tapp must play a deadly game—the likes of which he has been investigating for years—to escape, and in order to do so he must survive the lethal traps and puzzles that Jigsaw has put in place for him and others. But each victim has a dark connection to Tapp. Will Tapp save them? Can he survive his obsession to find the Jigsaw killer?

Customer Reviews

nice for fans... pointless to everyone else
this game is probably what you expect. it takes place in the confines of an abandoned building and feels and plays much like the movies. a nice plus is that this game is not reused story from the movies.. its all brand new. which almost makes it feel like another saw movie at times (like we need more) but it does get repetetive after while when you encounter the same sorts of puzzles again and again. having tobin bell's voice all through the game makes it much more likable. the combat system is pretty horrid but luckily its not a fighting game so it won't happen that often. all in all i liked the game but once you beat it, there is no point ever playing it again. the first run through will earn you every achievement so replay value is zero. this game was a nice treat for fans but i don't see a point in making a sequel... then again look at the movies.. uh oh

A decent movie based game?

Let me start off by saying that I am only about an hour into the game, but have so far been pleasantly surprised! The controls are very good and the puzzles are interesting (if not a little bit simple at times, mind you I started on the easiest level...there are only two). What surprised me the most was the fact that the game is not simply puzzled based but rather includes a bit of platforming and combat. As far as the games relationship to the movies, it has the same gritty feel and sense of urgency (when it comes to the traps and devices) that the films have. So far I am loving it!

Gamer Review

Wonderful game, but is the Deluxe Version worth it?

I wanted to provide a review, but I see that most of the others have already addressed most of what this game is all about. This review is based off of the "Deluxe Edition," which differs from the regular edition in that it includes an official strategy guide and a slip cover case that houses the game and strategy guide. The game is exactly the same in both versions.

Demon's Souls is a worthwhile experience in itself, and I highly urge any who are on the fence about it to at least give it a rental. It's a game that one will need to play through more than once in order to feel as though the game has been completed. Read other reviews for details into all of the aspects of the game.

I am going to focus my attention on the "extras" provided with the deluxe version. Is the strategy guide worth the extra $10? As somebody who did not play the import versions of Demon's Souls (many people here have), I can safely endorse the purchase of the deluxe version in order to get the strategy guide. For one, it's beautiful. There was much effort in organizing the art and text in a concise and useful way. It's very easy on the eyes. Each walkthrough section has pictures to go along with the walkthrough instructions, which is helpful. It runs 159 pages and is as big as the game case - not bulky at all. Even though it is small, it does not look or feel cheaply made. Here are the topics considered in the table of contents:

Introduction, Class & Gender, Character Building Guide, Survival Guide, Non-Player Characters, Merchants, Living Body and Soul Form, World Tendency and Character Tendency, Demon's Souls Usage, Magic Guide, Weapons Guide, Weapons Upgrades, Armor, Rings, Items, Enemies, Crystal Lizards, Quirks & Tricks, Trophy Guide, Online Mode Guide, Leveling Guide, Walkthrough (Worlds 1-5), End Game, Perfect Run Walkthrough

There are a couple drawbacks to the strategy guide. Demon's Souls has been out for awhile in Japan, Korea and China. This means that there are already plenty of online resources that discuss just about everything provided in the paperback guide. The guide does not provide illustrated maps of each level, which would have been icing on the cake. This is especially true since the game does not have any sort of mapping system. It would have been nice if the guide were a bit fatter - more detailed descriptions - but sufficed to say, this is a small gripe considering that all items, weapons, rings, monsters, and NPCs got descriptions and pictures to go along with them. It's a blessing and a curse because there is always a want for more content, but an efficient guide is also desirable. This strategy guide is efficient to say the least.

Again, I recommend the "Deluxe Version" even though the only real difference is the strategy guide. If you have no need for a tangible guide then there are online resources that definitely match the content. However, the guide is organized, in full color, and there are pictures that go along with the walkthroughs, items, monsters and other aspects of the game. Most online walkthroughs/guides I have looked at do not provide these things, and the ones that do are not in the same league as the guide provided with the deluxe version.

In summary, the guide is NOT necessary, but it is useful and convenient. Hope this helps!

Free-flowing "traversal gunplay" that adds a unique vertical element to standard 3rd-person shooting mechanics.

Award-winning cinematic storytelling, incorporating new and familiar characters, as well as all new and varied play environments.

A wide array of gameplay modes including a robust single player campaign and a franchise first online multiplayer modes including competitive and cooperative play options.

Follow-up game to 2007's critically acclaimed Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, the PlayStation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a continuation of the adventures of Nathan Drake, a fortune-hunter with a shady reputation and an even shadier past. Chock full of all the action, adventure, cinematic story elements and beautiful graphics that set the first game apart, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves adds deep online multiplayer options, including co-op and competitive campaigns, and a whole new supporting cast of characters, making it yet another must-have title for the PlayStation 3 platform.

Story
In Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves fortune hunter Nathan Drake embarks on a journey that will push him to his physical, emotional and intellectual limits to discover the real truth behind the lost fleet of Marco Polo and the legendary Himalayan valley of Shambhala, more commonly known in the west as Shangri-La.

In 1292 Marco Polo departed the court of Kublai Khan in China with 14 ships filled with over 600 passengers and crew. Eighteen months later only one ship remained and 18 passengers survived. Marco Polo never revealed what happened to these lost ships. Embarking on a quest to find the lost fleet, fortune hunter Nathan Drake soon realizes Marco Polo was hiding a much bigger secret - he had gone on a secret expedition to find the mythical kingdom of Shambhala and to recover the legendary Cintamani Stone, the "Wish-fulfilling jewel" of Buddhist mythology. With this new information Drake settles on a new course, following Marco Polo's trail through a diverse range of exotic environments. This quest also pits him against a new, more formidable adversary - a ruthless, rogue paramilitary leader with a private army and a relentless ambition to recover the stone for himself.

Gameplay
Although gameplay in Among Thieves is similar to that of the previous game, there are several major differences. The most important of these is the addition of several online multiplayer options. Unfortunately, no offline multiplayer could be included in the game due to the impact local split-screening has on the game's graphical quality. Thankfully though, the online modes included cover both co-op and competitive play. See the feature list below for details on these. In addition to play modes players can also expect a wealth of new gameplay features including a new stealth gameplay mechanic and altered climbing mechanic--both of which are extended to the AI of enemies; the ability to create cover by flipping over certain found items; the use of riot shields for defense and offense; and a complete lack of loading screens.

Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy Games is a third-person action game blending hunter-prey gameplay through a seamless mix of hand-to-hand fighting, gunplay and dramatic escapes, all designed around Jason Bourne's signature combat style. Developed by High Moon Studios in collaboration with Ludlum Entertainment, and with story and character development in conjunction with Bourne screenwriter Tony Gilroy, the game is a companion to the blockbuster films and best-selling novels.

Jason Bourne: Predator and Prey

Players experience a new storyline in The Bourne Conspiracy, becoming Bourne and playing both as a trained assassin and a marked government agent trying to uncover the conspiracy shrouding his origins. True to the Bourne franchises trademark blend of precision hand-to-hand combat and gunplay, the core to the gameplay is Bourne's definition as a 'perfect weapon,' with heightened combat instinct, where players use his characteristic capabilities to recognize threats, perform devastating takedown moves and use the environment to overcome deadly situations.

Adrenaline is Your Friend
True to the frenetic pace of the books and movies, the action of The Bourne Conspiracy PS3 games is not only non-stop, it’s integral to the gameplay. As players struggle past enemy after enemy, utilizing hand-to-hand combat staples like punches, kicks and blocks they will notice their on-screen adrenaline meter rising. Once Bourne has built up enough adrenaline he can dispense with the usual combination of moves needed to take out a foe and instead instantly take an enemy down with a single push of a button. If he builds up even higher levels of adrenaline he will be able to take out several enemies at the same time with the same single push of a button.

Game Review:
Impressive cinematic presentation, decent gameplay
This game's rating falls badly due to the terrible boss battles. But I'll get to that in a minute.
The cinematic presentation of The Bourne Conspiracy Games is actually very good. They did a great job of capturing the feel of the movies with that unique style of fancy camera work (the moving camera with quick edits). And really, that's probably what saves this game from being just average.

The graphics in some areas are very impressive. One drawback however is the characters faces, they look pale and sickly. Towards the later part of the game there is an explosion that is one of the best I've seen in a videogame, the developers knew it was good too because they put it in slow motion! The voice acting is serviceable, but I didn't like how Bourne was done. He's too laid back and speaks in a monotone. It takes some air out of the game because you're spending your time with this guy and he barely even registers as a person. The story? I don't know it wasn't much really. I guess they followed some parts of the movies but really everything was just an excuse to have gun fights and hand to hand combat.

The game is in third person and there's a pretty good cover system. You can peak from behind cover and it's very simple and it works, unlike some games I know (ahem GTA4). However, it can be unresponsive. You'll be standing near a wall and pressing the button and it wont register. I like TPS games with this type of cover so that's one of the main reasons I enjoyed this game. You better like it, because that's basically all you do in this game, besides fight.

Fighting is interesting, but basically it's just button mashing and very simple in medium difficulty. There are combos but it's not deep or anything. Extremely cool is the takedown. When you build up enough adrenaline during a fight, you can press circle and you'll bash the guys head into whatever is in the environment. It's pretty cool and a nice job by the developers to pull it off. There's a long car chase in the middle of the game, and it was fun and looked cool, however there's not much skill involved. Also, there are many quick time button pushes throughout, and I guess it adds to the game, but again, not much skill involved there. You do need quick reflexes sometimes though.

And now the major flaw in this game. The hand to hand boss fights. About 4 of them. It's basically broken. You'll be fighting the guy, trying to land some punches and for some odd reason they keep switching to a quick time cinematic and you have to push a button to land a punch. It does about no damage and it happens over and over and over during the fight. You can barely get any momentum going because the fight constantly keeps getting interrupted by this cinematic. It's awful. I swear I thought the game was broken so I went online to watch a walkthrough and I noticed the guy was having the same problem as me. So I knew it wasn't me. I couldn't take it anymore so I put these boss battles on easy mode. And I never do that. The game loses one star because of that alone.

Other than that, I actually enjoyed this game more than I thought considering all the lukewarm reviews it got. Cool game. Is it worth buying? No. But absolutely worth a rental.

World of Warcraft : PC Games

Buy World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack

Fans of World of Warcraft, prepare for Blizzard Entertainment's next installment -- World of Warcraft: Wrath of King Lich. In this latest expansion, something is afoot in the cold, harsh northlands. The Lich King Arthas has set in motion events that could lead to the extinction of all life on Azeroth. The necromantic power of the plague and legions of undead armies threaten to sweep across the land. Only the mightiest heroes can oppose the Lich King and end his reign of terror.

Enter the Death Knight
This expansion adds a host of content to the already massive existing game world. Players will achieve soaring levels of power, explore Northrend (the vast icy continent of the Lich King), and battle high-level heroes to determine the ultimate fate of Azeroth. As you face the dangers of the frigid, harsh north, prepare to master the dark necromantic powers of the Death Night -- World of Warcraft's first Hero class. No longer servants of the Lich King, the Death Knights begin their new calling as experienced, formidable adversaries. Each is heavily armed, armored, and in possession of a deadly arsenal of forbidden magic.

If you have a World of Warcraft account with a character of at least level 55, you will be able to create a new level-55 Death Knight of any race (if on a PvP realm, the Death Knight must be the same faction as your existing character). And upon entering the new world, your Death Knight will begin to quest to level 80, gaining potent new abilities and talents along the way. This expansion allows for only one Death Knight per realm, per account.

A Multitude of Monsters
Strange and terrifying creatures inhabit the frozen continent of Northrend, such as Nerubian Viziniers, Plague Eruptors, Shoveltusks and Flesh Giants, to name just a few. Half-spider, half-humanoid, the viziniers utilize sorcery and high intelligence to emerge as the rulers of Nerubians' underground kingdom. The Plague Eruptors are walking corpses created by the Lich King's evil experiments to spread horror and chaos across the living world.

Massive curved antlers make it easy to identify the Shoveltusks. These grumpy beasts are very dangerous, territorial, and best left alone. The Flesh Giants are nothing short of nightmarish abominations. Cobbled together from the pieces of giant body parts, the Flesh Giants employ tremendous strength to carry out the Lich King's wishes.

The World of Warcraft: Wrath of King Lich expansion pack allows you to engage in epic siege warfare. The pack presents the first Hero class and allows you to transform your Death Knight's look with character customization that even include hairstyles and dances. You'll enjoy exploring the Northrend and all its environments and dungeons, filled with some of the deadliest creatures -- and greatest treasures -- on all of Azeroth.

Nintendo Wii Console Reviews

Buy NINTENDO Wii
Nintendo's Wii video game system (pronounced "we") brings people of all ages and video game experience together to play. This simple yet ground breaking idea is expressed not only though the system's evocative name, which is easily pronounced in a variety of languages, and suggests two players side by side, but also through its innovative list of features and extensive list of playable titles.

A Little Box With Plenty of Power
As with every console, much of the buzz surrounds the specs. The Wii boasts 512 MB of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports, and a slot for SD memory expansion. The system’s technological heart -- a processing chip developed with IBM and code-named "Broadway" and a graphics chipset from ATI code-named "Hollywood" -- deliver stunning performance. And instead of a tray, Wii uses a single, self-loading media bay that plays both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system, as well as Nintendo GameCube discs.

Revolutionary Control
No bigger than a small traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a truly multi functional device. The magic of the Wii Remote's design lies within; acellerometers inside the controller measure movement in all directions and at all speeds. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket as you swing away. In driving games it serves as a steering wheel, allowing you to swerve to avoid obstacles or pickup power-ups. In first-person shooters, it acts as a firearm that you can point directly at an on-screen enemy. The controller also has a force feedback "Rumble" feature and an expansion port for use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analog thumbstick and trigger buttons. The system allows for up to four controllers to be linked at a time and utilizes standard Bluetooth wireless technology. For those who prefer the feel of a traditional controller an adapter is available that fits over the Wii's remote.
Wii Sports is Included

This is what video games should be: fun for everyone. Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote controller to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. To play a Wii Sports game, all you need to do is pick up a controller and get ready for the pitch, serve or that right hook. If you've played any of these sports before, you're ready for fun!

The Depth of the Nintendo Game Catalog

Each Wii comes with a game compilation called "Wii Sports," including tennis, golf, baseball and bowling games, that show off the console's intuitive new controller, but Wii also plays games developed specifically for it as well as fan-favorite games from Nintendo's 20-year-old library. Its drive is compatible with GameCube discs, and select Nintendo titles from the original NES of the 1980s all the way through the Nintendo 64 are available for download through the "Virtual Console" for $5 and $10 respectively. To support this backwards compatibility the Wii includes four ports for classic Nintendo GameCube controllers and two slots for Nintendo GameCube Memory Cards. As if that weren't enough, the Virtual Console will also make available a few titles from SNES console contemporaries, Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx 16.

Also, Wii utilizes Nintendo's newly-announced wireless feature, WiiConnect24. This worldwide feature allows players to receive content such as Wii Message Board messages sent from other Wii consoles, Miis, e-mails, updated channel and game content, and notification of software updates even while the console is on standby, keeping the fun going even when you are not online.

Customer Reviews : A series best!

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is not just a PSP remake of Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories but rather a complete overhaul with new mechanics from Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice and some from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness.

The first thing to notice is that the graphcs have been rescaled for the PSP and look amazing for it. Although the game is solely a 2D sprite affair, the environments that are in 3D as well as the rescaled intro video (with the song "Sinful Rose"), really show how perfect this series is on the PSP as apposed to the bigscreen during the PS2 days. I feel that this isnt the strongest musically with the key track being Sinful Rose, but our favorite tracks return such as the song that plays for Rosenqueen stores and the theme song to Disgaea 1. There is also Japanese vocal track and English vocal track with tons of voiced dialouge. The combination moves for team attacks look amazing as well and definitely differ from Disgaea 1 and Disgaea 3, actually they feel more powerful than in those other games. The character voices for the classes actually seem to be different than they were in the previous games. No longer does the fighter say "I'll Finish This" :(

Mechanically speaking those that have played Disgaea know what to expect. Disgaea 2 Dark Hero Days Sony PSP Game is an SRPG in which you can create more characters in different classes, level them up to level 9999, level up their items to level 100, and carry out many more numerous modifications to your hearts content. There are virtually no limits to creating the ultimate team and those who do will be heavily rewarded in the end, and endend game. Implementations from Disgaea 3 include the magichange system, in which you can move a human character and mosnter character together and get the mosnter character to transform into a weapon. You can now double magichange into a more powerful combination.

Storywise, the main story can span anywhere from 20 hours to 100 hours depending on one likes to level up their characters and enemies to get maximum experience points from them or to just rush through the standard mode and then play through the alternate storyline mode (which can actually be unlocked from the very beginning with a series of button presses). There is also promise of future DLC that will add other characters in the Disgaea storyline to this game as well for people to train, which is all forthcoming.

I found and still find Disgaea 2 to be a great entry for the Disgaea series on the PSP. My plan is to level several characters to 9999 just for the sake of trying to do billions of damage, it will be aweosme! There is no reason to not own it if this is your type of game. If you have played Disgaea 2 on the PS2 originally it is time to step up to this version, the bonuses, changes, and alternate storyline mode are worth it for this game. To get all the things that are in the beyond the end of the story mode there is tons to unlock and DLC coming our way.

Muramasa The Demon Blade TGS 08 Gameplay (Nintendo Wii)

Buy Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Nintendo Wii)
A number of cursed blades exist throughout the world. Blades that thirst for blood the moment they’re drawn. Even those blades thought to be holy slowly become corrupted over time as they are used in hatred and drenched in blood. Those who wield these blades slowly become homicidal. The curses laid on these blades are said to condemn those who use them to tragic and untimely deaths. It is in the Genroki era, a period of time in which the shogun Tsumayoshi Tokogawa reigned, that the force of the damned began to emerge, threatening the peace and prosperity that had long existed in the world. The cursed blades became the focus of the greed, self-righteousness, and arrogance of those who’d gain possession of them, and inevitably it was these conflicting desires that led to war. As the flames of chaos and disaster spread, denizens from the netherworld were dragged into the confusion as not only the evil spirits were summoned by the swords, but the Dragon and Demon Gods as well. How will the destinies of those drawn to these cursed blades unfold?

Games Story

This adventure unfolds during feudal Japan's Genroku era, a volatile time marked by warring factions and grave civil unrest under the shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa. The power-hungry shogun yearns to collect an array of legendary swords, but these blades carry a terrible curse-each one thirsting for blood the moment it's drawn. Those who wield these blades slowly become homicidal, and are destined to a tragic and untimely death.

Two Heroes are thrust into this treacherous climate-Kisuke, a brave young lad who's lost his memory, and Momohime, a lithe female ronin possessed by a dark spirit. They must venture across the dangerous countryside, in a race to collect the swords before the vile shogun can reach them. Watch as the destinies of those drawn to these cursed blades unfolds, as dragon and demon gods from the underworld appear to challenge those who wield them. Who will you encounter? Friend or foe? Find out in Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

Customer Reviews

This is why we play video games.

I've been highly anticipating the release of this Game since the first picture came out after TGS a few years ago and I'm speechless, this is the best 3rd party Wii game I have ever played and I doubt I will ever play one better. Vanillaware has created the most beautiful 2D game that I have ever seen, Muramasa is one of those rare gems that only happens once. Everything is hand-drawn, playing this is like playing art. We all know this game looks amazing, so I will focus more on the gameplay with this review.

This is a game for anyone really, the hardcore action fans will enjoy themselves and casual gamers will be able to finish it without too much struggle. Muramasa is a straight ahead 2D sidescroller, you run through the map and take out the enemies as you encounter them. There are secret items to collect and NPCs to speak with. You can initially start with 2 game modes, Muso (normal) and Shura (hard). In Muso mode you can level up and obliterate most enemies without trouble, Shura is more action oriented and it's MUCH harder...but way more fun if you ask me. You can switch between game modes on the fly too, nice. You can select 1 of 2 characters, Kisuke and Momohime. Both play exactly the same but the story and bosses that you encounter are entirely different. You have to equip 3 swords at a time and eventually you can forge your own blades. After you defeat each boss in each character's story you have the ability to forge more blades. In total there are 108, for your first play through you will not be able to forge all of them. After completing the main story with each character, both characters can use all blades, you can then backtrack and finish bonus dungeons to achieve a 100% game. Based on the blades that you equip you will have a different ending, 3 endings for each character. You also have the ability to cook items to restore health and add bonuses to your stats, it's actually really fun! The voice acting is the original Japanese, some may not like this but I prefer it this way. The music is excellent as well. I think that English voices would have ruined the beauty of this game, that's just my opinion. If you are at all familiar with Japanese lore then you will LOVE this game, if not you'll probably enjoy it just as much. Both characters have a great story, deep and philosophical. I couldn't be happier with this game, I knew it was going to be great but I'm truly amazed. 20+ hours for a complete playthrough, I've already started over again too. If you own a Wii, do yourself a favor and buy this game if you haven't already.
